Blackwell Mill Plain Corn Bread

Ingredients:
1 cup - Blackwell Mill's Corn Meal		2 teaspoons - Baking Powder
1 Cups - Milk		2/3 stick Maragine or Butter
2/3 Cup - Self-Rising Flour		1 egg
1 teaspoon - Sugar		1 teaspoon - Salt
Directions: Melt maragarine in oven 400°F, mix ingredients in same pan on melted margarine and bake about 35 minutes or until golden brown.

Blackwell Mill Grits

Ingredients:
1 cup - Blackwell Mill's Grits
4 Cups - Water
1/2 teaspoon - Salt
Directions: 1. Slowly stir grits and salt into briskly boiling water. 2. Reduce heat to low. Cover pot. 3. Cook 10 to 12 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Baked Cheese Grits

Ingredients:
3/4 cup - Blackwell Mill's Grits		1 cup - Shredded Cheddar Cheese
3 Cups - Water		2 Tablespoons - Margarine
1/4 teaspoon - Salt		1/8 teaspoon - Garlic Powder
1 egg, beaten		Dash - Red Pepper Sauce or Ground Red Pepper
Directions: Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 1 1/2 quart casserole or baking dish. Prepare grits according to package directions. Add small amount of grits to beaten egg. Return grits mixture to pan. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over low heat an addition minute or until cheese is melted. Pour into prepared casserole dish and bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until top is set and lightly puffed. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Grandma’s Famous Sweet Cornbread

Ingredients:
1 cup - Blackwell Mill's Corn Meal		1 eggs, beaten
1 cup - All Purpose Flour		1 1/3 cups Whole Milk
1 tablespoon - Double-acting Baking Powder		1/4 cup - Melted Unsalted Butter
1 teaspoon - Baking Soda		1 teaspoon - Salt
1/4 cup - Sugar
Directions: Place a 10 inch cast-iron skillet in the oven and pre-heat to 425 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together; add milk, egg, and butter. Mix only until moistened. Pour into hot skillet. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes or until brown.

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Ingredients:
Grandma’s Famous Sweet Cornbread (see recipe)		2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons butter		2 cups chicken stock
1/2 cup chopped celery		2 tablespoons poultry seasoning
1 small onion		salt and pepper to taste
Directions: Prepare the corn bread according to Grandma’s Famous Sweet Cornbread Recipe. Cool and crumble. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9x13 inch baking dish. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the celery and onion until soft. In a large bowl, combine the celery, onions, 3 cups crumbled corn bread, eggs, chicken stock, sage and salt and pepper to taste; mix well. Place into prepared dish and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

Stone Ground Grits

Ingredients:
1 cup - Blackwell Mill's Grits		1 Tablespoon - Salt
1 1/4 cup - Milk		1/4 cup - Butter
2 cup - Water
Directions: In a small pot, bring the water, milk, and salt to a boil. Slowly stir the grits into the boiling mixture. Stir continuously and thoroughly until grits are well mixed. Let the pot return to a boil, cover with a lid, lower the temperature, and cook for approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if necessary. Stir in the butter and serve.
